Hints for Good Dancing - Students Learn by Example

- Close the feet when they are supposed to be closed.
- Be aware of your arm hold - especially avoid pumping the arms when dancing.
- Be aware of body position - especially in semi, banjo, and sidecar.
- Walking steps are generally heel leads, running steps are generally toe steps.
- Knees should never be locked, but flexed even on toe steps.
- Head movements are important - especially be aware of the window and never look at the floor.
- Body sway can be important - especially in the higher level classes.
