Phase III
Jive
- Basic Rock (Can be done in BFLY)
- Fallaway Rock (Done in CP-SCP more difficult)
- RF Turning Fallaway (They learn RF Fallaway in waltz first)
- LF Turning Fallaway
- Throwaway (Beginning position like the Fallaway Rock)
- Link Rocks (Like the Reverse of a Throwaway)
The following figures vary in timing from the above standard
- Jive walks
- Swivel walks
- Suzie Q (after swivel walks because of swiveling action)
The last two figures above are in the multi-rhythm, listing.
Cha Cha and Rumba
- Cucaracha (Found in Multi-rhythm)
- Kiki Walk
- Circle Away and together with Kiki walk action (not found in Phase III, but a useful teaching technique)
- Lariat (W uses the circle action from above, man the cucaracha)
- Serpiente (Found in Multi-rhythm)
The following figures all have basic rumba timing and similar action.
- Basic
- Open Break (W does basic action, M simply reverses)
- Fence Line (Bodies stay more together)
- New Yorker (Taught in conjunction with #8 opening body)
- Time Step (Misplaced - should be in this Phase, bodies stay closed)
- Hand-to-Hand (Taught in conjunction with #10 opening body)
- Shoulder-to-Shoulder (W time step, M reverse)
- Spot Turn (The turning action puts it at the end of the sequence)
- Whip (Found in multi-rhythm, turn puts it at end of sequence)
Phase IV
Jive
- Right to Left (Most similar to throwaway)
- Left to Right (Most similar to Link Rock)
- Windmill (Most similar to Turning Fallaway)
- Change Hands behind Back (Most similar to Turning Fallaway with hands)
- Spanish Arms (Most similar to Fallaway for Man, W's part difficult)
Following figures vary from basic timing
- Chicken Walks
- Shag (Hop puts it into last in sequence)
Cha Cha and Rumba
- Time Step (Should be Phase III)
- Spot and Time (Combination of two known figures)
- Alemana (From a basic) Is this an underarm turn? (Should do in both directions. It is almost a spot and time with arms)
- Fan
- Alemana from Fan (2 measure move)
- Hockey Stick (From same starting position as #5)
- Chase (4 measure move)
- Peek-a-boo (Variation of above)
- Parallel Chase (Varsouvienne puts it near end of sequence and it is often done in transition)
- Triple Cha Forward and Back (Timing puts it at end of sequence)

- American Spin (Only figure with basic timing)
- Whip (Whip Turn is there a difference?)
- Whip Throwaway (Variation of above)
- Continuous Whip (Variation of #2)
- Stop & Go
- Sailor's Shuffles (Correct footwork is quite tricky)
- Flick into Breaks (Length of figure)

- Natural Top (Related to Whip Turn above)
